Mobile comprehensive Exam

We recommend evaluating your overall ocular health at least once a year to ensure your vision remains stable, though more frequent testing is necessary if you have an existing eye diagnosis or specific medical conditions. During your comprehensive eye exam, we will thoroughly review your patient history, check your visual acuity, perform preliminary tests, and measure your fluid eye pressure. Finally, we will examine the inner structures of your eye to accurately determine your overall health and prevent future vision complications.

On-site Refractions

We leverage cutting-edge technology, including advanced laser autorefractors, to measure exactly how light changes as it enters the eye. By precisely analyzing how this light reflects off the retina, the system instantly calculates a highly accurate baseline prescription. This modern, automated process ensures that your vision evaluation is both remarkably precise and tailored to your unique eyes from the very start of your exam.

Cataract Evaluations & Referrals

Cataracts occur when the natural proteins inside the eye’s lens degrade and clump together, creating a progressive clouding that obstructs your vision. In a healthy eye, these proteins are precisely arranged to keep the lens clear, allowing light to pass through unobstructed and focus perfectly on the retina. However, due to aging, injury, or oxidative stress, these expanding protein clumps scatter and block light instead of letting it pass cleanly through. This disruption prevents the retina from sending a sharp image to the brain, ultimately resulting in vision that appears dimmed, foggy, or blurred.

Diabetic Eyecare Evaluations

Diabetes is a leading cause of preventable blindness, but you can protect your sight with early detection. Over time, high blood sugar damages the tiny blood vessels in your retina, leading to serious conditions like diabetic retinopathy, swelling (edema), and an early onset of cataracts or glaucoma. Because these changes often develop silently with absolutely no early symptoms or warning signs, waiting for your vision to blur is waiting too long. Protecting your sight requires scheduling a comprehensive, dilated eye exam at least once a year. By detecting changes early and managing your blood sugar, your eye specialist can use advanced treatments to stop damage in its tracks and successfully preserve your vision for years to come.

Glaucoma Evaluations

Glaucoma occurs from damage to the eye’s optic nerve and can often lead to loss of vision and blindness. To detect glaucoma, our highly trained doctors will perform a proper exam to determine if there are changes to the optic nerve and visual field. If glaucoma is detected, our Optometric Physicians are highly trained to help you manage and treat your condition.

Early detection of glaucoma is crucial in preventing vision loss and blindness—the earlier, the better. However, there is no official cure for glaucoma. There are several treatment methods that manage, slow down, or halt the progression. Treatment for glaucoma will vary depending on the stage and severity for each individual patient.

Dry Eye Treatment

Dry eye (Ocular Surface Disease) is a common condition caused by aging, medications, or systemic health issues that prevents your eyes from staying properly lubricated. What starts as minor irritation, burning, or excessive tearing can quickly escalate; if left untreated, severe dry eye can damage eye tissue, scar your corneas, and permanently impair your vision. To safely and effectively protect your sight, we offer advanced, reliable remedies right in our office. Our trained doctors can insert punctum plugs—small collagen or silicone inserts that block tear drainage to keep your eyes naturally moist—which reduce discomfort by 75% to 90% in a single visit, or utilize a therapeutic amniotic membrane to heal and protect severely damaged corneas.

Modern Frames and Contacts

There are many different styles, shapes, and materials to choose from when picking out the best frames for your lenses. This can sometimes be an overwhelming decision, but at Clear Horizon, we are happy to help you find the perfect frames for your specific lifestyle and vision needs.

In addition to traditional glasses, we provide specialized contact lens fittings. During this medical evaluation, our eye care professionals precisely measure your eyes to select custom-fit lenses that ensure clear vision, maximum comfort, and optimal eye health.
